Olimpico is a medium-late hybrid that is characterized by high oil content and above-average yield, even in poorer production areas. This hybrid has a genetically-based resistance to black rot using RLM genes (1,9,7). A rapid start into autumn vegetation allows sowing this hybrid even later. Olimpico has a very good root system and can be recommended for sustainable optimization (minimalization technology) of agricultural procedures thanks to its toughness and rapid spherical root creation. Although it is a growing hybrid it has a very good resistance to lodging before harvest.
